Westbury are pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Smith as a coach to the club. Jason will arrive this week end, to help the current coahes at all levels (youth & adult). Jason has played cricket at a high level, and has an ECB level 3 Coaching badge. Jason will be available for one to one coachig sessions which will need to be booked through me.

Jason will also play for the first team, where he is an off spinner and RH Bat.

Jason was origianaly from Barbados he played represatative cricket,but is dual nationality, and has had recent spells with Surrey, Sussex, and last year playing in the Cheshire league.

Jasons appointment shows the commitment from the committee to get the best coaching for both Youth and adults.

The committee will also confirm dates of our "Summer School" for young cricketers in the Summer Holidays.

Losses for both the first and seconds this weekend agaist Knowle. The 1st at home had knowle in trouble at 56 for 6, but a 7th wicket stance of over 80, saw Knowle to a commading 171. Veteran seamer Phil carrol taking another 5 wicket haul for Westbury. Westbury in reply were bowled out fot just over 130, with skipper Ben Whiting top scoring with 40. The seconds at Knowle did not fair much better, they to were dismissed chasing 206, 90 runs short of the total.
The 3rds however had an exciting 1 wicket win against North Bradley, with 14 year old Micael Tuck hitting the winning 4 in the last over. Westburys Phil Marshall having taken 5 wickets in Norh Bradleys 84 all out.
